One of my new year rituals is to check the passport power or rank for the Indian passport. I don’t know when I picked this habit.
But today when I checked, I was pleasantly surprised that India has improved its passport power. India climbed seven places to rank 83rd compared to the 90th position in 2021.
We Indians now have access to 60 countries without a prior visa. In 2021, the visa free scope was for 58 countries.
Oman and Armenia are the latest destinations added into the list of prior visa requirements.
More power to India and to it’s passport.
P.S – I am waiting for the day when U.K and U.S would be added to this list. Do tell us which country you would like to travel, visa free on Indian Passport?
