Brunch

HappinessĀ is having bread roll in brunch. Especially when you don’t have to share them with anyone else. Above all the green chutney was awesome.

I love it when I can prepare anything, anytime, anyway I want it. I am loving this freedom.

Bread rolls were simplyĀ tasty and yummy.

Happy cooking fellow bloggers and readers.

Egglicious

WP_20160405_001

Well, I must have done something right this week. Two days and two consecutiveĀ new dishes and both of them came off simply awesome.

Like all other dishes, this was my first try at Egg Curry too. I was a bit skeptical about this one because there was no one to guide me and this was not a dish out my mother’s cooking book. The recipe was told to me by one of my office colleagues.

I had no idea about the spices and number of eggs required. I just went with the flow and thankfully it all went well.

Everybody in home likes the dish. I have got a positive response. I hope everybody in office too likes the dish. Fingers crossed šŸ™‚

I sincerely hope all the readers and fellow bloggers would also be able to get a feel of this delicious dish with the picture.

Happy cooking fellow bloggers and readers.

Awesome Threesome!!

Don’t go on the literal meaning of the title. It means awesome three things I had in dinner tonight šŸ˜›

I had Poori (unleavened deep-fried Indian bread), curd and mashed potato vegetable.

After such a long time I have eaten this dish. And I was particularly afraid because I was cooking it for the very first time. Thankfully it came off well.

I am happy the dish was as tasty as it is looking in the photograph. All who have eaten this dish have praised it. It was one of my best dinner treats in a long long time. I can even smell the delicious aroma of the dish from the picture itself.

This was again a recipeĀ out of my mom’s recipe book. It is not exactly the same as my mom cook’s. But it is somewhere close. It indeed made my night.

I hope all the readers will be able to get the delicious aroma of the dish.

Happy cooking fellow bloggers and readers.

My Breakfast

WP_20160328_002

I Love it. Poha (flattenedĀ rice) and one cup of hot tea. The best breakfast ever. Yes in the bright Tuesday morning, when the sun is out in its full glory. What better way to start the day.

Yes again like all the previous dishes as well this one is taught to me by my mother. But this dish is dear to me for one more reason. The first time I met My Girl, she bought Poha cooked with her own hands. Though the taste was a bit up and down due too many spices but it was the best Poha of my life. After a twelve hour flight, I landed at the airport and when I met her for the first time she had bought Poha for me. The gesture was all the more special as she did it on my special demand.

Coming back to my breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed eating Poha and a hot cup of tea for breakfast in the morning. And as it was my first time preparing it, so the taste was extra good. I think my cooking skills are gradually improving. I now have the basic understanding of what spices to be used and in what amount to be used. The dishes prepared by me for the very first time are appreciated by my housemates.

I am happy today eating the Poha and remembering my first meeting with My Girl. šŸ™‚

Delicious

Shahi Paneer

It’s already looking very delicious. Water is just dripping out of my mouth. For those of you who don’t know, this dish is called SHAHI PANEER.

This is a north Indian dish made with paneer (cottage cheese), and tomato based spicy gravy laced with some hot Indian spices.

I have cooked after a long time. Actually, I have eaten properly after a long time and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was eating it and water was not just dripping out of my mouth but also from my nose, because of all those hot spices.

Am I turning into a proper housewife who loves cooking new dishes and loves experimenting? Although the dish is not new but I was cooking it for the first time and according to my roommate, it was near perfect šŸ™‚

I don’t know when I will cook for myself again, maybe after a month or so. But till that time I want to savour the taste of this dish in my mouth.

Happy cooking fellow bloggers and readers.

Happiness

Upma

Happiness. This is one word which has a different meaning for different individuals at different stages of their lives.

Happiness cannot be defined. You can feel happiness in numerous ways. Talking to the person you love the most, doing the things you are passionate about, exploring new things, writing, painting. The list of things that can make a person happy can go on and on.

I am away from home, family and my love. So for me having the home cooked food with my mother’s recipe is a great source of happiness.

I made this Salty Rawa (Upma) while talking to my mom on the phone. Like always, she guided me how to make this dish. And having this dish with my housemates and getting compliments for the same from them has made me proud and happy both at the same time.

Posting this blog as I wanted to share my happiness with the fellow bloggers and the rest of the world. Because someone once said to me “Happiness grow manifolds if it is shared with others”.

P.S – Inbox me if anyone wants theĀ recipe of the dish.
